Nursing Colleges Release New Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) Guidelines

The College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM), the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) and the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM) are pleased to release new guidelines for LPNs, RNs and RPNs for nursing care related to Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID). With the expert guidance of the Medical Assistance in Dying Nursing Advisory Committee, these comprehensive guidelines are set to replace the older documents released by the three nursing colleges on Medical Assistance in Dying. No Increase in Registration Fees Required for 2018

The CRPNM Board of Directors is recommending that the 2018 Practising fees be maintained at the 2017 rate. Accordingly, the Practising registration fee for 2018 will be $525 (plus the GST).
