Practice Expectations for RPN(AP)s
It is the responsibility of every RPN(AP) in Manitoba to understand all practice expectations and apply them to their nursing practice, regardless of roles or practice settings. This document explains the designation as described in our governing regulations, and the standards of practice RPN(AP)s must adhere to.
Competencies for RPN(AP)s
A reference for RPNs, curriculum developers, and the public which outlines the integrated knowledge, skills, judgements, and attributes that guide RPN(AP)s in how to incorporate prescriptive authority safely, competently, and ethically into their professional practice.
Scope of Practice for RPN(AP)s
The RPN(AP) role adds to the RPN scope of practice. This guide explains how the RHPA and related regulations define the RPN(AP) role in relation to the RPN scope of practice, and outlines the Reserved Acts that qualified RPN(AP)s are permitted to perform in their professional practice.

A guide for employers that answers questions about the new role’s benefits, potential areas of practice, and care delivery model.
