We acknowledge that Manitoba is on the original lands of the Dakota, Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, Dené, Inuit and Métis Nation. We acknowledge that the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba is located on Treaty One territory. We respect the Treaties that were made on these territories, and we acknowledge the harms and mistakes of the past. We dedicate ourselves to moving forward in partnership with First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities in a spirit of reconciliation and collaboration.

The College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM) will not process your application until we have received all of the required documents.

The CRPNM will only keep your application for registration on file for a year. If you start the application process but stop before you complete it and we do not receive any communication from you for one year, we will close your file.

After reviewing your application and the NNAS Advisory Report, the CRPNM may require that you take additional bridging education. If your education and experience is in psychiatric nursing but does not meet the Guidelines for Education Assessment, then the CRPNM may direct you to enroll in a bridging program or to take bridging courses.

Reconsideration

If you disagree with the results of our decision and have further evidence that you meet the requirements described in the Guidelines for Education Assessment, the CRPNM may do a reassessment based on new information.

Please note that these are the first steps prior to an Appeal to the Council as outlined in Section 38(1) of the Regulated Health Professions Act.
