Making a Complaint – Public

 * The CRPNM must review all written complaints made against its members.

There may be a time when you witness a Registered Psychiatric Nurse or Graduate Psychiatric Nurse do or say something that is not professional.

If you are concerned about the practice or the conduct of a Registered Psychiatric Nurse, the first course of action might be to talk to the RPN directly or to talk to his or her supervisor. These concerns may also be reported to the CRPNM.

If you would like to discuss the issue or if you are not sure whether you should report the incident to the College, please call us. Either the Executive Director or Practice Consultant will help you to decide whether you want to make a formal complaint.

A formal complaint is a written document*. Information to be included in the complaint is detailed in the How to File a Complaint link to the right.

If you have difficulty writing the complaint yourself, please contact the CRPNM for assistance.
