In collaboration with Manitoba Government, the CRPNM is introducing changes that will support a more flexible and accessible pathway for former registered psychiatric nurses who are wishing to return to the workforce.
Former Manitoba RPNs with 1400 hours practice in the past 5 years can proceed directly to the reinstatement application in their member portal.
Former Manitoba RPNs with at least 560 hours of practice in the past 2 years will also be able to immediately apply for reinstatement. The CRPNM has also expanded the opportunities for former RPNs with a shortfall in their past 5 years of practice hours to safely return to psychiatric nursing practice.
These changes are expected to be further formalized with changes to the CRPNM’s General Regulation later this spring.
