We acknowledge that Manitoba is on the original lands of the Dakota, Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, Dené, Inuit and Métis Nation. We acknowledge that the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba is located on Treaty One territory. We respect the Treaties that were made on these territories, and we acknowledge the harms and mistakes of the past. We dedicate ourselves to moving forward in partnership with First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities in a spirit of reconciliation and collaboration.

National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

The College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba is recognizing the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation as a day of observance to encourage reflection and meaningful discussions about the trauma caused by residential schools and to honor the survivors, families and communities who continue to grieve for those who were lost. We will listen, learn and support healing. We commit to engaging with community partners to appropriately mark the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and to meaningfully advance reconciliation in our organization.
